Frequently Asked Questions

What can I expect on my first visit to LMBT?

Visitors are always welcome here at our church.  We are thrilled to have you here, regardless of your church or religious background.  Be sure to stop by our Welcome Center to pick up information about our services.  Our friendly staff of greeters and ushers will direct your family to your Sunday school class or into the main auditorium for the service.  Of course, be sure to take advantage of our well staffed nursery for newborn children through age 3.

Most adults attend worship service where they enjoy Spirit filled music followed by an encouraging, challenging and Biblical message from Pastor Griffis. During the 10:00am Sunday school hour there are adult Bible classes. These classes are smaller group settings where you are invited to meet people, and hear a teaching lesson more directly applicable to your stage in life.  The best way to get to know people at LMBT is to visit one of these adult Bible classes.

Where do I take my children and teens?

Starting with excellent nurseries through senior high and college age, there is something special for every age child and teen. At every service there are safe, clean, and highly staffed nurseries. For the infants, mothers will receive a pager so that the nursery attendants can easily contact you if there is a need. For children two years old through 12th grade there are fun, friendly, and Bible-centered classes. These classes are staffed with trained, friendly, and well-qualified teachers and helpers who will make church exciting and memorable for your child. Children and teens from 7th – 12th grade attend a class for one hour and then worship service the next hour with their parents.

How should I dress?

There is not a dress code at Lake Milton Baptist Temple for members or guests. Our ministry leaders and many of our church family dress in more traditional “Sunday” dress – the men in dress shirts and slacks, typically with a tie and women in appropriate dresses; however, our main goal is that you would feel welcome and comfortable, ready to concentrate on the message!

Am I Expected to Participate in the Offering?

No. We don't invite you to LMBT for your offering.  You are our guest, we want to serve you during your visit!  We want our service to be a gift to you. We hope you will find in this place a warm family spirit, truth from God's Word, and a place where you can grow in God's grace. Please don't feel any obligation to participate in the offering as a guest.
